Maintenance

The PHA employs a full-time maintenance staff to ensure apartments remain in good condition. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the event of a maintenance emergency.

Work Orders: Report maintenance issues promptly (e.g., leaking faucet, running toilet, light out, etc.) by contacting the Housing Authority office. A work order will be issued, and repairs will be made within 48 hours after the request. If work cannot be completed in that time frame, staff will communicate with tenant as to when repairs are expected to be completed.

A tenant may request non-emergency repairs during office hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, except holidays). The office number is 620.223.4570.

Emergency work orders: An emergency would be a maintenance event such as no heat or air, water on the floor, toilet stopped up, smoke alarm chirping or anything that poses an immediate threat to life, health and safety of the tenant/property, will need to be addressed promptly. If a tenant has an emergency work order, and the office is closed for any reason, the Tenant must call the Maintenance Emergency number at 620.224.4313. Maintenance staff is available and will respond within 1 hour or less to abate the emergency issue.

If you are unsure whether something is allowed or need maintenance help, please call the office before taking action. We ask that tenants do not perform any maintenance tasks that involve repairs to Housing Authority property.
