A Message from the Executive Director

Welcome to the Fort Scott Housing Authority!

As the organization entrusted with providing safe, affordable, income-based housing in our community, we are proud to manage 190 public housing apartments here in Fort Scott. Our goal is simple: to ensure every resident has a secure, well-maintained home and the support they need to build stability and opportunity.

I am incredibly grateful for our team of dedicated staff members who work tirelessly each day to serve our residents. Their commitment, skill, and compassion are the foundation of our ongoing status as a high-performing housing authority. Together, we strive not only to maintain quality housing, but to create an environment where individuals and families feel valued, respected, and empowered.

Looking ahead, we remain focused on strengthening our properties, expanding resident resources, and building partnerships that enhance quality of life. We believe that housing is more than a roof over someone's head-it is the starting point for stronger families, stronger futures, and a stronger Fort Scott.
